Re:         COVID update and other information

 

 

Dear Oak Meadows staff, tenants and families,

  

COVID testing:  At this time all COVID testing has been negative in all of the Oak Meadows community.  We will be testing Oak Meadows staff and Ponds tenants again on Friday, June 25th beginning at 9am. Tenants are welcome to stop in the community room to get tested between 9am and 10:30am or we will come to your apartment after 10:30am.

 

 

Everyone:  YOU ALL STILL NEED TO BE WEARING MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING AND WASHING HANDS.

 

Please remember that the MN Department of Health has not yet lifted COVID guidelines for senior living communities.  ALL visitors must have their temperature taken at the reception desk before going to visit any of our tenants.  Any tenants who leave the building please use all COVID precautions when out in public. I know that mask mandates are lifting across the state but that does not include recommendations for senior living at this time.

 

  • Visitors are now welcome to attend worship or an activity with a tenant as long as masks are worn at all times.
  • NEW NEWS … Beginning June 23rd Ponds visitors will be able to come in to the Ponds entrance and do their own temp and wellness sign in. There will be a thermometer and a sign in paper where they will need to answer all wellness questions. They no longer have to check in at the receptionist desk before entering the building.
  • We hope to allow guests to dine in our dining room soon but not quite yet. MDH has still not lifted the restrictions on dining. I will let you know as soon the CDC opens up dining options. If you want to dine with your family you are welcome to do it in your apartment or out on one of our lovely patios.

 

Important Message:

  • Over the next weeks Oak Meadows will be repaving our front and back parking lots. This is a major job and will be somewhat disruptive for everyone. The plan is to start with the back (south) parking lot this week. I do not have dates yet for the main parking lot. But as I receive details and as we determine where everyone can park I will let you know immediately.
