Re: COVID update and vaccination clinic
Dear Oak Meadows staff, tenants and families,
All COVID tests this week have come back Negative. We have now been COVID free on our campus for 3 weeks! Great news! Keep up the good work.
Our next testing date for the Ponds and Oak Meadows staff will be February 17th at 8am. Pines testing will continue to be a percentage of staff and tenants each week. I will keep you posted of any changes.
Please continue to follow our COVID policies at Oak Meadows for social distancing, wearing masks and frequent hand washing. The CDC and MDH guidelines are indicating that even with being vaccinated we will need to follow precautions until at least 75% of the population has been vaccinated.
Second COVID vaccination clinic will be:
February 11th from 9am to 3pm.
Community Room
Please note: Mary Beckman, DHS, has filled out all paperwork for Pines tenants.
- You may come to the Community Room anytime that day. You will receive a number to wait your turn.
- Please bring your insurance information with you just in case it is needed.
- You will have a 15 minute waiting period in the dining room following your vaccination.
- You may experience some symptoms the day after the vaccination, i.e., fever, achy.
- Please report to your family, doctor or nursing if you experience any adverse symptoms.
- Check with your physician for recommendations of a medication that may help with symptoms, i.e., Tylenol or Advil. You may also experience arm redness at the injection site. It is called “COVID arm” and should go away within a week.
If you have questions please feel free to email or call me.
Sincerely,
Deb Veit, Executive Director
