See photos as we shelter in place.  These were taken between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2020.  It’s been a busy place around here!

Deb Veit, Executive Director, is our fearless leader.  She has had more phone calls in one day than in 5 days combined!  She always has a smile on her face and is encouraging to all the staff that “we will get through this.”  Our activity department, Megan and Katie, are so creative and innovative and coming up with things we can do to keep our tenants entertained.  They have had staff singing in the hallways, each day they put something to eat or something inspiring to read in their bags that they gave them that hang outside the doors.  To say they are exhausted at the end of the day is an understatement. They are also providing meaningful, and sometimes fun, activities for our 14 people in memory care.  The tenants there do not need to stay in their apartments.  Chaplain Carol is printing her services and handing them out to tenants.  She is also available to meet one on one with tenants, keeping her distance of course.  Jim and Jeff, in maintenance, are keeping our community spic and span and taking care of garbage and other repairs.  And what can we say about the dining and kitchen staff?  KUDOS!  Alison is working with all her staff , every day,  to prepare the meals, box them up, and deliver to each apartment.  Every day.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Always pleasant and always willing to help.  Our receptionists are extremely busy.  They have to take everyone’s temperature, staff and others, every day and log in the book.  They are also coordinating all deliveries which includes all mail.  The mail people deliver all mail to them and then they sort it and deliver to each tenant, every day!  Tenants call the receptionists if they need groceries delivered.  Then reception delivers, or calls any one of the other staff to deliver, the groceries or medications.  EVERYTHING from the outside must go through them first. Plus, they receive many, many phone calls each day.  Our housekeepers keep everything clean and sanitary.  We are all pitching in!  If you ever have questions please do not hesitate to call us at 651-578-0676 or email:  info@oak-meadows.org.  To note, the above is strictly the Oak Meadows staff.  Our on-site home care, Ebenezer, is doing an amazing job under the leadership of Mary.  They are making sure tenants are safe and well.
