Deb came to Oak Meadows in June of 2016 after working 9 years at Episcopal Homes of MN, a 500 resident continuum care campus, as the Director of Community Relations and Marketing. Deb has worked as a nurse in skilled nursing homes, hospitals and neonatal intensive care units. She also served as a Christian Education Director in several area churches, leading mission trips in the US and other countries, speaking at conferences and serving on various Boards. Her strong focus and desire has always been in the care and compassion of people. Deb shares her life with her supportive husband Paul and 4 adult sons, 2 grandchildren and 4 granddogs! As a family some of their favorite things to do together are Twins baseball games and golfing.
Kim Utecht Prayfrock
Director of Community Relations
Kim came to Oak Meadows in 1998 as the Activities Director/Volunteer Coordinator. Shortly thereafter she moved into her current position as Director of Community Relations. Kim provides tours for potential tenants, works with the media, maintains the website and is active in community organizations including the Oakdale Area, Woodbury Area, and Stillwater Area Chamber of Commerce, East Side Marketing, Women’s Business Bridge, LeadingAgeMN Saint Paul Senior Workers and Senior Workers in Marketing. She graduated from Metro State with an emphasis in gerontology. Her passion is providing excellent customer service to seniors and their families. Kim shares her life with her husband, 3 adult sons, 2 daughters-in-law, 4 grandchildren, and her dog and grand-dogs. She also feels blessed that her parents are active and healthy at 82 and 89! You will often see her with her camera in hand!
Activities Director/Volunteer Coordinator
Megan has been the Activities Director/Volunteer Coordinator at Oak Meadows since 2008. Upon completing her internship at Oak Meadows, and graduating with a degree in Exercise Science from Globe University, she began her journey with us. Megan’s favorite part about working with seniors is listening to all of the knowledge they have and hearing the amazing things they have experienced in their lives. Megan shares her life with her terrific husband and adorable little boy, and Duke, her dog!
Director of Food Service
Nicole joined Oak Meadows in 2011. She brings with her more than 15 years of cooking experience, mainly in Senior Living Communities. Nicole is responsible for all aspects of the dining experience from preparation to presentation. She enjoys creating menus, theme dinners and catering special events and activities. She works closely with her staff to ensure that the needs of all the tenants are being met. When she is not at work she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her three girls and family and, particularly enjoys being outdoors as much as possible.
Rev. Carol J. Heckmann
Rev. Carol has been with Oak Meadows since 2009 as chaplain. Her initial part-time position was recently expanded to full-time to provide for the spiritual needs of the Oak Meadows community. Carol is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ. She previously worked as the palliative care chaplain with Integrated Home Care. She has also served churches in Wisconsin and worked as a chaplain at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Carol enjoys visiting people and listening to their stories. She says, “Everyone has a story to tell, and I think it’s important for them to tell it and for someone to really listen to it and cherish it”.
Jane was hired in 1998 as part of the Administrative team focusing on the financial aspects of Oak Meadows. She has also assisted in whatever needed to be done, i.e. office management, reception duty, and even doing tours when needed. Jane left for a brief period between 2003-2006 to work in association management, but returned in 2006 to resume her financial work along with payroll. Jane lives in Oakdale and has been married to Bruce for 25 years. She enjoys her fur-kids, 2 adorable pugs named Cooper and Dewey. Jane’s outside interests include anything in the world of technology, cycling, participating in exercise programs through Community Education and enjoying the intense workouts with the Pink Gloves Boxing community.
Deb has been employed at Oak Meadows since 2005. She is responsible for staffing, training and overall supervision of the reception staff, which staff the Reception Desk 24 hours, 7 days a week. She enjoys working with seniors and really getting to know them. When she is not at Oak Meadows, she loves spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Director of Environmental Services
Tim joined the staff in August of 2016. He worked at Sholom Home, Apple Valley Villa and Prairie Care Hospital. He is married and a grandpa.

Connie joined Oak Meadows in 1997 during the construction process. She has been active on Housing Cabinets with both Aging Services of MN and Care Providers. She has 25 years of experience in the senior housing industry and is a 20 year member of the American College of Healthcare Administrators. Connie volunteers for the Rein in Sarcoma Foundation, is active with her church and tutors 1st graders in reading. She enjoys reading, gardening, pottery and crocheting – but particularly treasures time spent with her family, which includes 8 grandchildren. Lily is her retirement gift to herself. Lily is a West Highland Terrier.
