Re:         Weekly Coronavirus Update – Oak Meadows Website : www.oak-meadows.org

Dear Oak Meadows tenants and families,

Last week the tenants with Ebenezer services and all Ebenezer staff were tested for COVID. We are happy to report that all tests came back negative. So at this time we remain free of any positive COVID cases at Oak Meadows. Sometime this summer the Ponds tenants and Oak Meadows staff will have the opportunity to be tested also but I do not have a confirmed date for that as yet. I will be notified from the State when they will come to our site.

In regards to our COVID guidelines at Oak Meadows we will continue to follow the MN Dept of Health recommendations and our policies listed below will remain in place. As the State makes changes to their guidelines for senior communities we will also. COVID-19 is still with us and we want to do all we can to protect our tenants and staff from getting infected.

  • We continue to ask you to wear masks anytime you are out of your apartment. You may go outdoors for fresh air with your mask on. All visitors are required to wear masks outdoors also. Please make sure to wear your mask properly. It must cover your nose and mouth. Do not wear it below your chin.

  • Maintain social distancing (6 feet between) and wash your hands frequently.

  • We discourage our tenants from going to restaurants, stores, churches, salons, people’s homes and public places where you increase your risk of exposure to COVID.

  • Doctor and dental appointments are necessary so it is okay to go out to appointments but make sure to take proper precautions.

  • Please do not let strangers, deliveries or family members come in to the Ponds entrance and do not prop that door open ever. Everyone must come to the Pines entrance always. I have been made aware that we have had some delivery people enter at the Ponds door. This is not allowed and they must go to the Pines entrance ONLY.

  • We will continue to allow only essential visits in to the building. You may call me anytime with questions regarding essential visits. Please do not have family come in to our building without prior authorization. It is important that everyone gets their temp checked and that we have a record of who has been in the building in case we do get a positive COVID case.

Please remember that I monitor daily the recommendations from the MN Dept of Health for senior communities.  Those are the guidelines we have put in place for our Oak Meadows community. Please call me anytime with questions.

Sincerely,
