Dear Oak Meadows tenants and families,
Sadly I must inform you today that we have our first positive COVID-19 case at Oak Meadows. The person who has tested positive is a staff person. Fortunately they have not worked at Oak Meadows for over 7 days so they were not in contact with any tenants or staff while positive.
We will be notifying the State Department of Health that we have our first positive case. The staff member will be not be working for at least the next two weeks.
We have been weekly testing nursing staff and a percentage of assisted living tenants. At this point we do not have any other positive cases.
We hope to be testing the rest of Oak Meadows staff and Ponds tenants sometime next week. I will let you know when I have a confirmed date.
At this time we will continue with the policies we have put in place for no inside visits, only outside visits allowed, wear a mask whenever you are out of your apartment, wash your hands frequently and stay away from large gatherings, stores, and churches.
If you have any questions please feel free to call or email Deb or Mary anytime.
