Covid-19 updated 7-24-2020

Date:     July 24th, 2020

Dear Oak Meadows tenants and families,

Happy Friday everyone! I am pleased to report that Oak Meadows does not have any positive COVID-19 cases at this time. We have been very fortunate and I pray every day that we can keep it this way. Last week the Governor released new guidelines for inside visits for senior living communities. These are guidelines that each community can adapt to meet their needs.

At this time we will continue to allow essential visits only in to the building. We are blessed to have an abundance of outdoor space and for those who are able we will continue to have the majority of visits take place outside. Please call me for approval of inside visits.

  • Wear masks at all times when outside of your apartment. Make sure it covers your mouth and nose.
  • All visitors must have their temp checked at the Pines entrance and must have masks on at all times.
  • Visitors from out of state please contact me to discuss visiting options.
  • If you want to use the NuStep machine in our exercise room please call the receptionist to put the time you want to use it on our schedule.
  • We must continue to limit large group activities but please know we are working on options for adding small group activities. Watch for updates!
  • We continue to discourage our tenants from going to stores, restaurants, churches and any large gatherings.
  • Thank you to all who have been so generous in donating goodies and money to buy items for our tenants black bags and to buy special lunches. We will continue to keep the black bag fun and lunches going as long as we can. We are so grateful to all of you.

Sincerely,

~ Deb Veit, Executive Director
