COVID-19 Update April 17, 2020

Dear Oak Meadows tenants and families,

We continue to feel very blessed to be able to say we are still free of any positive COVID-19 cases.

You are all doing a great job during this very difficult situation. At this point the Governor still has us in a shelter in place status until at least May 4th.  He is also working on a plan to reopen our state in phases. This is not something that can happen overnight so we will need to be patient. In the meantime please read below for updates to Oak Meadows sheltering in place policies.

  • Staff will continue to wear masks. Remember this does not mean anyone is sick. We are doing this to protect our tenants. We are not sick. We just want to put in place an additional level of protection for all of you. We will definitely notify you and your families if we were to develop a positive case of COVID at Oak Meadows.

  • We are working on getting enough homemade masks to give to each of our tenants so that once we are able to lift some restrictions we will ask that you wear a mask when out of your apartments.

  • Please remember that all deliveries are coming to the Pines main entrance. Anyone that does need to come in to the building or drop packages off must come to that entrance to have their temp checked and sign in and drop off any deliveries.

  • I cannot stress enough how important it is for us to continue to shelter in place, restrict visitors and stay away from the public and public places. The better we do at this the sooner we will put an end to the spread of this virus.

  • At this time we will continue to restrict visitors in to our building until at least May 4th. I will keep you posted at that point.

  • If you are not feeling well, please call our receptionist immediately.

  • Thank you for all of the families who have been so generous donating items to put in all of your black bags. We are so grateful for your generosity.

  • Please call me anytime with any questions. I am happy to answer any questions you might have.

Blessings to each of you and thank you for all of your cooperation with our building policies during this challenging time. You are helping to protect not only yourself but everyone at Oak Meadows. I know it is a difficult sacrifice to not see your families but you are keeping so many people safe by Sheltering in Place.

Sincerely,

~ Deb Veit, Executive Director
